As the romantic musical film ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’ gears up for its re-release in theaters this October, the makers have officially announced the sequel, ‘Sanam Teri Kasam 2’, with actor Harshvardhan Rane returning as the lead.
Harshvardhan Rane, who played the lead role in the original 2016 film, has been confirmed to reprise his role in the sequel. Although the storyline has been finalized, the filmmakers are yet to decide on a director to helm the new project, IANS reported.
For Harshvardhan, returning to ‘Sanam Teri Kasam feels’ like revisiting an old friend. He expressed his excitement, saying, “The love and connection that audiences have shown towards the film over the years is truly humbling. I’m thrilled to be a part of producer Deepak Mukut sir’s world again and to bring a story that honors the original while moving the journey forward in an exciting new direction.”
An official spokesperson from Soham Rockstar Entertainment, the production house behind the film, stated, “We are pleased to announce that ‘Sanam Teri Kasam 2’ is indeed confirmed, featuring Harshvardhan Rane as the lead actor once again. The sequel’s story has been finalized, but we are committed to selecting a strong and visionary director who can deliver a sequel that meets the high expectations of our audience.”
The original film, ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’, tells the love story of Inder, a tough ex-convict, and Saru, a traditional librarian. Their journey together takes a dramatic turn when they fall in love and marry, only to have their lives altered by tragedy.
Deepak Mukut of Soham Rockstar Entertainment shared, “We have locked an exceptional story for Sanam Teri Kasam 2, with Harshvardhan Rane returning as the lead. Soham Rockstar Entertainment is dedicated to creating a sequel that will resonate deeply with fans.”
With the film already generating buzz among fans, the anticipation for ‘Sanam Teri Kasam 2’ is on the rise as the makers promise a sequel that honors the original while offering a fresh, new perspective.
