In a step towards raising environmental awareness, MY FM, the flagship radio network of the Dainik Bhaskar Group, launched a new campaign, ‘Ek Ped Mahtari Ke Naam’, during the Independence Day week. This initiative aims to unite communities in combating climate change and promoting nature conservation.
The campaign was officially inaugurated on August 13 by the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Vishnu Deo Sai. The CM flagged off a symbolic ‘Tree Chariot’ to signify the importance of community-driven environmental efforts and to highlight the urgency of taking collective action against climate challenges, the media group said in a statement.
As part of the campaign, over 100,000 seed balls have been distributed across 70 locations in Chhattisgarh, including schools, colleges, and corporate offices. The goal is to engage local communities in enhancing green spaces, encouraging people of all ages to contribute to nature preservation efforts.
Rahul Namjoshi, CEO of MY FM, expressed his excitement for the campaign, stating, “We are committed to making a positive impact on our environment. ‘Ek Ped Mahtari Ke Naam’ is more than just a campaign; it’s a call to action for every individual and community to play a part in preserving our planet. Every tree planted today is a step towards a greener tomorrow.”
