The Pokémon Company (TPC) has said ‘Pokémon Horizons: The Series’ will premiere on Hungama channel starting May 25.
This marks a significant moment in Pokémon history as the series introduces a female lead, Liko, and her partner Pokémon, Myaoha, who will embark on thrilling adventures alongside the young trainer Roy.
According to a press release from TPC, the series will feature original opening and ending tracks composed by the renowned music duo Vishal-Shekhar and sung by Armaan Malik and Shirley Setia, tailored specifically for Indian audiences.
‘Pokémon Horizons: The Series’ promises to captivate audiences with its new storyline, characters, and Pokémon, including groups like the Rising Volt Tacklers and the Explorers. The series will showcase daring voyages led by Captain Pikachu across the sea and sky.
Susumu Fukunaga from The Pokémon Company expressed excitement about the series, highlighting its heart-warming narrative of friendship and self-discovery. He also emphasized the significance of the original tracks crafted for Indian viewers, reflecting Pokémon’s commitment to the Indian market.
Devika Prabhu, Business Head of Kids and Infotainment at Disney Star, praised Hungama’s popularity as a platform for Japanese anime and Pokémon content. She emphasized the channel’s efforts to customize the Pokémon viewing experience for Indian audiences, ensuring its continued relevance and appeal.
