Korean sensation SEVENTEEN has dropped their latest album ‘17 is Right Here on Monday, accompanied by a captivating music video for their lead single ‘Maestro’. The 13-member group, known for their self-production prowess and equitable line distribution, continues to showcase their musical versatility and creativity.
‘17 is Right Here’ boasts a diverse tracklist, featuring four new songs, Korean renditions of eight previously-released Japanese lead singles, as well as a collection of 20 lead singles from their past Korean releases, IANS reported.
Additionally, fans can enjoy a digital-only instrumental version of the group’s debut single, ‘Adore U’.
The title track ‘MAESTRO’ seamlessly incorporates elements from SEVENTEEN’s iconic releases, including ‘Adore U’, ‘VERY NICE’, ‘Oh My!’, ‘Fear’, ‘Rock with You’, ‘CHEERS’, and ‘Super’. The accompanying music video paints a picture of a dark dystopian world where technology blurs the lines between music and art.
SEVENTEEN’s members are divided into three units: the vocal unit comprising Joshua, Woozi, Jeonghan, DK, and Seungkwan; the hip-hop unit consisting of S.Coups, Mingyu, Wonwoo, and Vernon; and the performance unit made up of Hoshi, Jun, Dino, and The8.
The album showcases the group’s versatility, with tracks like ‘LALALI’ highlighting the hip-hop unit’s confidence, “Spell” conveying the performance unit’s sentiment of love, and “Cheers to Youth” embodying the vocal unit’s celebration of life’s simple joys. Notably, members including Woozi, S.Coups, Wonwoo, Mingyu, Vernon, The8, and Dino have contributed to the production process.
Anticipation for ‘17 is Right Here’ has been sky-high, with the album amassing over 3 million pre-orders as of April 19, according to the group’s agency, Pledis Entertainment. SEVENTEEN’s latest release continues to solidify their position as a powerhouse in the K-pop scene, captivating fans with their musical prowess and innovation.
