Firstpost has solidified its position as a dominant force on YouTube, outperforming major international news platforms such as BBC News, Al Jazeera English, and Sky News, according to the latest data from VidIQ.
With a staggering 110 million+ video views in March 2024, Firstpost has established itself as a frontrunner in the digital news landscape, the news company said in a press release.
In comparison, Al Jazeera English recorded 97 million views, while Sky News garnered 93 million views, and BBC News received 72 million views during the same period. Even Firstpost’s Indian competitor WION trailed behind with 63 million views.
Despite being a relative newcomer in the video content sphere, Firstpost’s strategic pivot towards video production has yielded remarkable growth. The channel boasts over 4 million subscribers, indicating a strong and engaged audience base.
