News18 Tamil Nadu has wrapped up its highly successful ‘My Vote My Right’ campaign, aimed at empowering first-time voters to make informed decisions and exercise their democratic rights. Spanning from March 11 to April 12, 2024, the initiative covered 40 constituencies across Tamil Nadu.
The campaign, initially targeting 5 lakh individuals, exceeded expectations by garnering a remarkable 5,30,440 oath documents from first-time voters. S. Karthigaichelvan, Editor of News18 Tamil Nadu, ceremoniously presented these documents to the Election Commission, symbolizing the commitment of new voters to engage in the electoral process, the news channel said in a press statement.
The grand finale of the campaign, held on April 12, 2024, was attended by distinguished guests including Satyabrata Sahoo, Chief Electoral Officer of Tamil Nadu, J. Radhakrishnan IAS, Commissioner of Greater Chennai Corporation, and Actor Vishal.
