The Advertising Club (TAC) is gearing up for the much-anticipated event of the year as it prepares to host on March 22 the latest edition of the EMVIES, often regarded as the Oscars of the media world, celebrating and honouring trailblazing efforts of brand innovators and thought leaders in the realm of media and marketing strategies.
This year’s EMVIES has garnered a staggering 1,892 entries, showcasing the industry’s robust spirit of creativity and innovation. Out of these entries, 471 have been shortlisted for the final round of judging, where seasoned professionals and select creative directors will evaluate them meticulously, TAC said in a press release.
What sets EMVIES apart is its unwavering focus on innovation, strategy, research, and seamless integration, making it the gold standard among media awards in the country. This year, for the first time, the prestigious Grand EMVIE was judged by a distinguished panel comprising luminaries such as Amit Singhal, Santosh Desai, Agnello Dias, Anil Vishwanath, and Avinash Kaul.
Rana Barua, Group CEO of Havas India, South East & North Asia, and President of The Advertising Club, expressed his pride in promoting excellence in the fields of advertising, media, and marketing through EMVIES. He extended his gratitude to the jury for their invaluable time and commended the media agencies and brands for their exceptional contributions to the industry.
Punitha Arumugam, Chairperson of the EMVIES Committee, highlighted the industry’s commitment to pushing boundaries, as evidenced by the surge in entries for EMVIES 2024. She emphasized the dedication and strategic brilliance reflected in these entries, underscoring EMVIES’ mission to celebrate ground-breaking media campaigns that resonate with audiences and drive brand success.
The EMVIES ceremony promises to be a vibrant and high-energy affair, drawing professionals from the media, advertising, research, and marketing sectors. Attendees can look forward to witnessing the unveiling of the Grand EMVIE, along with accolades for the Best Media Client of the Year and Best Media Agency of the Year.
