JioCinema has announced a strategic partnership with multilingual social media platform ShareChat and short-form video app Moj to deliver a wide array of sports content to consumers. This collaboration includes coverage of events such as the TATA WPL, TATA IPL, Indian Super League, and the 2024 Olympics.
The aim of this partnership is to deepen JioCinema‘s engagement with regional content consumers by integrating with their preferred social platforms and aligning with their digital consumption habits. With ShareChat and Moj boasting an extensive user base of over 325 million users, JioCinema’s sports content will be accessible to users on both platforms in their preferred language.
The collaboration will provide users with bite-sized content on their favorite sports, along with behind-the-scenes stories, anecdotes, and conversations from dressing rooms narrated by JioCinema’s expert commentators. JioCinema has been at the forefront of democratizing sports content consumption in India by offering multi-lingual commentary, multi-cam viewing, 4K feed, and an immersive and dynamic viewing experience.
Hursh Shrivastava, Viacom18 Sports Head of Strategy, Acquisitions & Partnerships, expressed, “This partnership will take our efforts far and wide across the breadth of the country. ShareChat and Moj will not only bring a newer audience but also scale to our regional presentation across multiple languages.”
