News18 Kannada is gearing up to host the 21st edition of its prestigious event, ‘Varshada Kannadiga 2024’, a celebration that recognizes the outstanding contributions and achievements made by Kannadigas from various fields.
The event, synonymous with unparalleled credibility, is set to take place on February 27, 2024.
Since its inception in 2003, Varshada Kannadiga has become the premier awards ceremony on Kannada news television, highlighting the excellence of individuals who have significantly impacted Karnataka’s cultural, social, and professional landscapes, the channel said in a press release.
Over the years, the coveted Varshada Kannadiga award has been presented to illustrious personalities, including legends like Dr. Rajkumar, Dr. Veerendra Hegde, Sri Ravishankar Guruji, Gangubai Hanagal, and Dr. Shivaraj Kumar.
The 2024 edition of Varshada Kannadiga will feature a distinguished jury panel from diverse fields entrusted with the responsibility of selecting the best of Karnataka.
The esteemed jury includes Justice Gopal Gowda, Retired Supreme Court Judge, serving as the Jury Chair; B. Dayanand, Bengaluru City Police Commissioner; Dr. K Govindaraj, President of FIBA Asia; D. Muralidhar, Former FKCCI President; Shivanand Kalave, Veteran Journalist; Vasantha Kumari, Retired Group Director from U.R Rao Satellite Centre; and Meghana Raj, Renowned Actress.
