The anthology, comprising three independent films – ‘Dharna Mana Hai,’ ‘Hud Hud Dabang,’ and ‘Sanitised Samachar,’ has been directed by Gurvinder Singh, Kaushik Ganguly, and Bhaskar Hazarika.
Each film within the anthology delves into the absurd realities of India’s rural landscape, offering a unique perspective on the intricacies of life in these areas.
Jisshu, featuring in ‘Hud Hud Dabang,’ expressed his excitement about the project, sharing his gratitude for the warm reception from Hindi cinema viewers for his recent works.
Johnny Lever, playing the lead role in ‘Hud Hud Dabang,’ highlighted the shift from his comedic forte, expressing eagerness to witness the audience’s response to his unusual character. Nimisha Sajayan, part of the anthology, emphasized the captivating experience of exploring the unseen facets of rural India through her role.
The anthology, set to release as ‘Lantrani Volume 1’ on ZEE5 on February 9, promises to offer a diverse and compelling cinematic journey, bringing together the talents of accomplished actors and renowned filmmakers.
