Tennis enthusiasts in India are in for a treat as Tennis Channel will provide exclusive live coverage of the Davis Cup World Group I Playoff between India and Pakistan on February 3–4 in Islamabad.

The matches, starting at 11 a.m. local time each day, will be accessible throughout India on Samsung TV+, the company said in a press release.

Prakash Amritraj, a former Davis Cup player for India, will serve as a Tennis Channel analyst, offering commentary alongside announcer Geoffery Chizever. Amritraj, a key contributor to India’s victory over Pakistan in a World Group I semifinal in 2006, expresses his excitement to be part of this historic Davis Cup rivalry once again.

The winner of this weekend’s contest will advance to play a Davis Cup World Group I tie in September, while the losing side will compete in a World Group II tie at that time.

Introduced in 1900, the Davis Cup is one of the oldest trophies in sports, representing an annually contested “World Cup of Men’s Tennis.” This playoff follows India’s recent success at the Australian Open, where Rohan Bopana, at age 43, secured the doubles title, becoming the oldest major doubles champion and the oldest World No. 1-ranked doubles player in men’s tennis history.
