Two-time Oscar nominee and BAFTA winner Ralph Fiennes is set to take on a triple role in his upcoming project, ‘The Beacon.’
The contemporary UK-set drama, exploring themes of family, class, race, and identity, features a stellar cast including Indira Varma, Charles Babalola, and Alison Oliver, PTI reported.
Fiennes, known for directing films like ‘The White Crow’ and ‘Coriolanus,’ has penned the screenplay himself. The film, produced by Gail Egan of Potboiler Productions, will commence production this summer in Suffolk, England.
The storyline follows Joshua Nyaga’s visit to his girlfriend Cass’ family, unraveling uncomfortable truths in the face of a sudden act of violent racism.
Cornerstone is set to launch international sales at EFM, with CAA Media Finance handling domestic representation.
The project reunites Fiennes and Egan after they collaborate on the Oscar-winning film ‘The Constant Gardener.’
The impressive ensemble and compelling narrative make ‘The Beacon’ a highly anticipated addition to Fiennes’ directorial portfolio.
