CNN-News18 has unveiled the eagerly awaited ‘CNN-News18 Indian of the Year’ (IOTY) Awards.
Scheduled for January 10 in New Delhi, the 13th edition promises to recognize and honour outstanding Indians across diverse domains.
According to a press release from the news channel, the event, a testament to India’s prowess, will feature luminaries like Bollywood’s Shah Rukh Khan and acclaimed filmmaker Mani Ratnam. The awards will span categories including Business, Sports, Entertainment, Youth Icon, Rising Sports Star, Social Change and Climate Warrior.
What sets this year apart is the blend of public voting and expert judgment, ensuring a fair selection process. A distinguished panel of judges, including luminaries like Harish Salve and Javed Akhtar, contribute to this decision-making.
Nominees include icons like Neeraj Chopra and Deepika Padukone, environmental champions, and social change catalysts. With a legacy of past winners like Narendra Modi and Virat Kohli, these awards represent the pinnacle of distinction in news television.
