In a comprehensive ABP News-CVoter opinion poll conducted from December 15 to December 21, 2023, encompassing 13,115 respondents across 543 Lok Sabha constituencies, intriguing insights into the public sentiment ahead of the 2024 elections have emerged.
The survey projects a convincing performance for the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA), foreseeing an estimated range of 295–335 seats out of the total 543. This anticipation sets the stage for a potential third term for the incumbent alliance.

Contrarily, the Opposition bloc, comprising the Congress and other parties under the I.N.D.I.A alliance, is projected to secure 165-205 seats, while other smaller parties might settle for 35-65 seats.

Zone-wise projections reveal a strong NDA presence in the North and East Zones, securing 150-160 and 80-90 seats, respectively. However, the South Zone appears more favorable toward the Congress/I.N.D.I.A, with projections indicating 70-80 seats for the opposition bloc.
The survey highlights critical factors influencing voter sentiment. A staggering 58.6 percent of respondents expressed a preference to see incumbent Prime Minister Narendra Modi secure a third term. However, Rahul Gandhi emerges as a competitor, securing 32% of votes in the PM preference category.

Unemployment stands out as the primary electoral issue.
Majority satisfaction with PM Modi’s governance at 47.2 percent “very much satisfied.”
Views split on the potential impact of leadership changes within BJP and Congress.

People’s Perceptions:
A noteworthy concern emerges regarding the unity of India until the 2024 elections, with a significant majority expressing apprehension.

The survey, covering a wide demographic, employed Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI) among confirmed voters, ensuring a robust sample size and a margin of error at ±5 percent, with a confidence level of 95 percent.

The ABP News-CVoter opinion poll offers a comprehensive snapshot of the country’s political landscape, shedding light on voter preferences, critical issues, and the potential outcome of the impending Lok Sabha elections in 2024.
