After enthralling audiences with films like ‘RRR,’ ‘Baahbuali,’ and others, filmmaker SS Rajamouli is back with another epic.
The critically acclaimed director is working on a film that will tell the story of Indian cinema. The biopic titled ‘Made In India’ is produced by Rajamouli’s son SS Karthikeya and Varun Gupta. Nitin Kakkar will direct the biopic.
After the resounding success of Ram Charan and Jr NTR’s ‘RRR’, SS Rajamouli is set to come up with another masterpiece. As per a Deadline report, the filmmaker is looking forward to telling the story of ‘the birth and rise of Indian cinema’. According to Rajamouli’s representative, the film promises to be a “magnum opus on a huge scale and canvas”. Rajamouli has no plans to direct the movie.
After building up anticipation and hype, the filmmaker announced with a video on Twitter. “The narration moved me emotionally like nothing else when I first heard it.” Making a biopic is difficult enough, but making one about the FATHER OF INDIAN CINEMA is even more difficult. Our boys are prepared and enthusiastic…”With great pride, I present MADE IN INDIA (sic),” he wrote on Twitter.
Just coming fresh from the spectacular success of ‘RRR,’ Rajamouli is set to bankroll another project. For those unaware, ‘RRR’ won big at the recently held 95th Academy Awards. It won the Best Original Song Oscar for ‘Naatu Naatu.’ The foot-tapping number featured the film’s lead actors, Ram Charan and Jr NTR. The composer of the song MM Keeravaani picked up the trophy with lyricist Chandrabose. The song also won the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song.
