The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has extended the submission deadline for receiving comments and counter-comments on the consultation paper (CP) on ‘Review of Quality-of-Service Standards for Access Services (Wireless and Wireline) and Broadband (Wireless and Wireline) Services’ .
The regulator said yesterday that the new dates for submissions by industry stakeholders are October 11(for comments) and October 25 (for counter-comments).
“A request dated 6th September,2023 has been received from COAl (Cellular Service Provider’s Association) for extension of time for submission of comments on the ground that the paper is very comprehensive and detailed from all aspects of business i.e. Networks, Customer Service, IT, Billing and record keeping, etc., and requires extensive deliberations and more time for submitting the comments,” TRAI said, explaining the rationale behind the extension.
The regulator had issued the CP on August 18, inviting written comments from the stakeholders by September 20, which has been extended now.
