As a testament to promoting health and fitness, the eagerly awaited National rounds of the Fit India Quiz 2022 are set to make their debut on the popular OTT platform Disney+ Hotstar from August 12.
Spanning 13 engaging episodes, the quiz will be available to viewers every Saturday and Sunday at 8 am.
Anchored by the dynamic duo of Tanay Tiwari and Tanya Purohit, the show aims to inspire and educate audiences about India’s rich sporting heritage, fitness, and nutrition.
With fervor surrounding the quiz’s second edition, a total of 72 exceptional students (two from each of the 36 schools) emerged victorious in their respective State rounds, clinching the coveted top honors.
Hon’ble Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Anurag Singh Thakur, felicitated these winning schools during an event in Mumbai last month. Each winning school received a cash prize of Rs. 2.5 lakh and the two-student team from each school was awarded a total of Rs. 25,000.
This year’s National rounds hold even greater excitement, as the total prize money for the winning team has been elevated to Rs. 25 lakh, with the students receiving Rs. 2.5 lakh. The first and second National runners-up schools will secure Rs. 15 lakh and Rs. 10 lakh, respectively.
The quiz is a collaborative effort between the Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and the Sports Authority of India, aiming to nurture awareness and appreciation for fitness among the youth.
The Fit India Quiz 2022, launched on the eve of National Sports Day last year, has witnessed an exponential rise in participation. Over 61,981 students from 16,702 schools across 702 districts enthusiastically joined the second edition.
This figure indicates a remarkable 70 percent increase compared to the first edition, which saw 36,299 students from 13,502 schools participating. The quiz is a testament to the nation’s passion for sports and physical well-being.
Dedicated to exploring India’s diverse sporting history, health, and nutrition, the Fit India Quiz serves as an inspiring platform to nurture young talents and inculcate a deeper appreciation for a fit and active lifestyle. As the National rounds take center stage on Disney+ Hotstar, viewers across the nation can anticipate a riveting showcase of knowledge, athleticism, and camaraderie, ultimately echoing the spirit of a healthier India.
