In a recent release of data by the Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC), News18 India has once again asserted its dominance in the Hindi news genre, outperforming its rivals and securing a significant 20 percent lead over Aaj Tak.
According to the BARC metrics for Week 29’23, covering all days and 24 hours and targeting the NCCS All 15+ audience in the Hindi-speaking market (HSM), News18 India emerged as the clear leader with an impressive 90,030 AMA’000s (Average Minute Audience ‘000s). This outstanding achievement leaves its competitors, including TV9 Bharatvarsh, Aaj Tak, India TV, and Republic Bharat, trailing behind.
Following closely behind News18 India, TV9 Bharatvarsh claimed the second position with 76,726 AMA’000s, while Aaj Tak secured the third spot with 74,921 AMA’000s. India TV and Republic Bharat secured respectable positions with 73,847 and 67,968 AMA’000s, respectively.
The success of News18 India can be attributed to its robust lineup of Prime Time shows and esteemed news anchors, delivering unmatched perspectives with authentic and comprehensible news. Such exceptional content has resonated tremendously with the audience, solidifying News18 India’s position as the top choice for Hindi news viewers.
The News18 Network continues to assert its leadership in both television and digital viewership. Impressively, its nine digital channels in eight languages garnered a staggering total of 2.1 billion+ views on popular platforms like YouTube and Facebook just last month. This highlights the network’s massive digital presence and popularity among online audiences.
Furthermore, the network’s regional portfolio stands out as the largest in the country, cementing its leadership across various regions in India. The combination of its widespread reach and compelling content has undoubtedly contributed to News18 India’s resounding success in the highly competitive news landscape.
