News18, the leading news network, demonstrated its supremacy in live streaming as the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO)’s Chandrayaan-3 mission took off late last week successfully from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh.
The event captivated millions of viewers, with News18’s YouTube platforms reaching record-breaking levels of live concurrent viewership, the media company said.
Among the regional channels, News18 Madhya Pradesh/Chhattisgarh’s digital platform achieved an impressive milestone, attracting a staggering 4,21,000 live concurrent viewers during the launch.
Meanwhile, CNN-News18 garnered an extraordinary 320,000 live concurrent viewers on YouTube. This outstanding performance solidified News18’s position as the preferred choice for viewers seeking live coverage of significant events.
Notably, News18’s YouTube platforms outperformed prominent competitors Aaj Tak and Zee News in terms of live stream numbers, maintaining their leadership position throughout the historic Chandrayaan-3 launch, the TV channel said in a press release.
In June alone, the network amassed a remarkable 5.1 billion views on YouTube and Facebook combined, further establishing itself as the go-to source for viewers seeking reliable and engaging news coverage on digital platforms.
