The sequel to the hit horror-comedy movie ‘Stree’ has begun shooting, and fans of the first movie are eagerly awaiting the release of ‘Stree 2’ in August 2024.
The movie will star Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead roles, with Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee and Aparshakti Khurana also joining the cast. The movie will be directed by Amar Kaushik, who also directed the first part, and produced by Maddock Films and Jio Studios.
The first movie, ‘Stree’ was set in the small town of Chanderi, Madhya Pradesh, where an evil spirit named ‘Stree’ abducts men in the night during festival season. The movie was a commercial and critical success, and fans are excited to see what the sequel has in store, PTI reported.
The makers of ‘Stree 2’ promise to bring “an array of other fresh surprises” to the movie, and the theme of the movie is “Sarkate ka aatank”.
The first look of the movie was released earlier, and it shows a deserted street with a signboard that reads “O Stree, kal aana” (O Stree, come tomorrow). The first look has already created a buzz among fans, and they are eagerly waiting for the trailer to be released.
