Star Sports scores exclusive TV rights for LPL 2023

Star Sports has secured the exclusive television media rights for the Lanka Premier League (LPL) 2023, set to take place in Sri Lanka from July 30 to August 21.

The broadcasting rights cover India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, Maldives, and the MENA region, including the UAE.

Star Sports, known for its extensive sports coverage, will bring the thrilling T20 cricket action of the LPL to a wider audience.

The tournament will feature prominent international players like Babar Azam, Shakib Al Hasan, and David Miller, along with local stars.

Five teams—Colombo Strikers, Dambulla Aura, Galle Titans, Jaffna Kings, and B-Love Kandy—will compete for the coveted LPL title.

The acquisition of the LPL TV rights adds to Star Sports‘ impressive cricketing lineup, which includes renowned events like the ICC, Indian Premier League, and more.

This partnership promises an exciting collaboration and a memorable experience for fans across the subcontinent and the MENA region.

Amazing and grim battle for survival. Guess it will end up in Supreme Court. All that NCLT asked Zee to do was to file a reply to Invesco petition for a EGM. Now this is getting too serious. So far Invesco has been hammered for demanding an EGM. What is Zee upto? Ofcourse my lawyer community knows better!
