Rubika Liyaquat, a known face on ABP News, has quit the organisation, according to industry sources. However, till Sunday evening her Twitter account showed her retweeting ABP News posts.
Liyaquat, who came to ABP News from Zee News, is part of the young brigade that have been ruling the news airwaves in India for some years now.
A graduate of masscom from Mumbai, Liyaquat-anchored shows on ABP News did attract audiences, but her future assignments at the moment are unknown. Some media reports indicate that she may turn into a media entrepreneur.
At the time of writing this report there were no official confirmations from Liyaquat or ABP Network.
In the early part of her journalism career, she has worked at Rajasthan’s Channel 24 and Live India. Later, she joined Zee News in around 2008 and, it is said, here she learnt the ropes of TV news journalism.
Liyaquat joined ABP News in 2018.
