Sunil Sharma has been named Chief Product & Technology Officer at Network18, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Sunil will lead the group’s convergence and digital technology initiatives, including tech architecture, content, data, and monetization management tools, software, and product engineering for all of the group’s general and business news brands.
He will concentrate on disruptive technologies such as generative AI to improve processes, develop audiences, localize stories, and efficiently distribute content.
Sunil will report to Network18’s Managing Director Rahul Joshi and will collaborate closely with other leaders to develop a strong tech and product DNA across Network18 brands.
Sunil brings over two decades of ‘Big Tech’ experience in software product development across industries such as telecommunications, retail, media streaming, and education technology.
Sunil was previously the Vice President of Engineering at Byju’s, where he oversaw customer experience and customer support technology initiatives.
Before that, he spent over seven years at Amazon, where he made significant contributions to retail, logistics, and Prime Video.
