Harsh Jain, co-founder, and CEO of Dream Sports, has been elected chairman of the Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI).
He will be in charge for the next two years. Jain takes over for Sanjay Gupta, Google India’s vice president and country manager.
The association’s vice-chairman and treasurer have been elected as Rajesh Magow, co-founder and group CEO of MakeMyTrip, and Satyan Ganjwani, vice-chairman of Times Internet.
They will take the place of Shivnath Thukral and Harshil Mathur, the Economic Times reported.
They would form the executive council of the association, along with ex-officio member Subho Ray, president of IAMAI.
At the next annual general meeting, the IAMAI’s new 24-member governing council and executive council will take over the current councils. Every two years, the IAMAI governing council is elected.
Over 500 Indian and multinational corporations are members of IAMAI, which represents the digital services industry in India.
Its mission is to grow and improve the online and mobile value-added services sectors.
