Shalini Poddar, EVP and Head of Ad Sales at Disney+ Hotstar has joined Apple Services as Country Director, according to the industry sources.
She joined Disney+ Hotstar in November 2021 and was in charge of ad sales, revenue, and strategy for the platform.
Her responsibilities included business planning, sales, and sales strategy.
Prior to joining D+H, Poddar worked for Google for more than eight years as the Head of Business Development, Google Play Apps – India, South East Asia, and Australia.
She was previously the Engagement Manager at Accenture Management Consulting. She began her career as a Summer Intern at Deutsche Bank before moving on to Kotak Mahindra Bank as an Associate Vice President, Client Relations.
Poddar received her bachelor’s degree from Delhi University and her MBA in marketing from IIM Calcutta.
