Meta-owned WhatsApp is working on a new feature that would allow users to send status updates to Facebook stories without leaving WhatsApp.
Previously, users could share status updates to Facebook stories, but they had to go through the extra process of manually uploading the update each time they posted something new, according to WABetaInfo.
The procedure may now be automatic for some status updates that users select if the option is enabled.
As per IANS, users will notice a new option “share my status updates across my accounts” in the Status Privacy setting on WhatsApp, where they can link their Facebook account.
Furthermore, this option will be optional and will be disabled by default.
If users want particular status updates to be shared to Facebook stories without quitting WhatsApp, they can enable this option in the Status Privacy settings.
