Arpit Mankar has been appointed as Head of non-Bollywood category by Shemaroo.
Mankar will be in charge of developing an overarching content strategy for various regions in India and abroad as the Head of the Non-Bollywood Category.
He has over 20 years of experience in the media and entertainment industry, having held executive positions at Star India, Sony – AXN Networks, and the Reliance Group.
During his previous tenure at Disney-Star, he held key positions such as Head of Programming Strategy for Star Plus and General Manager – Star Bharat, where he was responsible for meeting the Hindi GEC’s viewership and profitability targets.
He will report to Arghya Chakravarty, COO – of Shemaroo, and will be a member of the executive committee in his new role.
This follows the announcement of Abhishek Joshi as the new Head of ShemarooMe, Shemaroo’s OTT platform.
