Telegram Messenger has released significant updates to its application, including features such as Power Saving Mode, Auto-Send Invite Links, Read Time in Small Groups and more.
Users can now use the Power Saving Mode feature to extend the battery life of their devices.
When a certain percentage of the battery is depleted, the mode disables resource-intensive features such as auto-playing videos and GIFs, sticker animations, and background updates.
“In Settings > Power Saving, you can toggle Power Saving mode or tweak individual settings for autoplay, animations, and effects,” Telegram wrote in a blog post.
Furthermore, the company claimed to have tested over 200 Android phones and created “optimized default settings” for users.
In addition to the battery-saving mode, Telegram has introduced the Auto-Send Invite Links feature, which allows users to control who can add them to groups.
“If you’re inviting someone who restricts this, you can now quickly send them an invite link as a message,” IANS reported the news from SanFrancisco.
Telegram has also added a Read Time in Small Groups feature, which displays the time when each member of a group of fewer than 100 people reads a user’s message.
