WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta, is reportedly developing a new text editor for its drawing tool for iOS beta.
According to IANS, the new text editor will allow users to easily switch between different fonts by simply tapping one of the font options available above the keyboard.
Although changing the text font is already possible, the new interface will make it easier for users to quickly select the font they want.
Additionally, users will be able to change text alignment to the left, center, or right, giving them more control over formatting text within images, videos, and GIFs.
Users will be able to change the color of the text background with the new text editor.
When the revamped text editor is released to beta testers, new fonts will be available.
According to the report, the new text editor is currently in development and will be released in a future update of the application.
It was reported in January of this year that the messaging platform was working on a new text editor for Android beta.
Meanwhile, WhatsApp was said to be working on a new feature for iOS beta on Tuesday that will allow users to set an expiration date for groups.
