According to producer Anand Pandit, work on the next installment of the financial thriller ‘The Big Bull’ is already underway. The filmmaker also hinted that a fourth installment in the ‘Sarkar’ film franchise is in the works.
“We are working on ‘The Big Bull 2’. We’re in the process of purchasing the rights to a book. We can’t say much about the (next) con. Pandit, known for films such as ‘Baazaar’, ‘Section 375’, and ‘Chehre’, told PTI.
‘The Big Bull’, which debuted on Disney+ Hotstar, is a fictional story about Hemant Shah, a notorious stockbroker played by Abhishek Bachchan. Kookie Gulati directed the 2021 film.
When asked if the sequel would be led by Abhishek again, the producer said it would depend on the script. “I would prefer to work with Abhishek Bachchan, he is a great actor. However, the cast will be determined by the script,” he added.
Pandit, who backed Ram Gopal Varma’s 2017 film Sarkar 3, stated that they hope to continue the critically acclaimed franchise. The film series revolves around Amitabh Bachchan‘s character, Subhash Nagre, a powerful politician.
