For Keanu Reeves fans, it appears that Christmas has arrived a little early.
The cast and crew of ‘John Wick: Chapter 4’ took to social media to share a new poster for the upcoming action film.
The producers also revealed that the film will be released in theatres on March 23, 2019.
The film will be released on the same day in India. The film was supposed to be released in 2021, but production was pushed back due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In the fourth installment of the John Wick saga, the assassin will face off against a new foe as he attempts to earn his freedom.
Lionsgate India also shared the upcoming actioner’s poster on their Twitter account.
The poster depicts John Wick aka Keanu looking intently at the camera. The actor resembles the lethal assassin he portrays in the franchise.
Keanu is shown wearing a sandglass filled with bullets instead of a tie. The bullets are trickling down the sandglass, implying that John Wick’s time is up. “His time is up,” read the caption on the poster. “John Wick 4 opens in theatres and IMAX on March 24.”
The John Wick franchise is one of the most successful action film franchises in recent years, following the life of the titular character (Keanu Reeves), also known as Baba Yaga by his opponents. Wick will attempt to finish off the High Table, a council of crime lords, in the upcoming film to earn his freedom. However, the stakes this time may be beyond his imagination.
