Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is all set to turn 57 on November 2 and he has a surprise for his fans.
His iconic film, ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ or ‘DDLJ’ will be re-release in theatres for that one day.
Yash Raj Films shared the post on their Instagram story and confirmed the news.
The film will release across the country and will be screened in PVR cinemas, INOX movies, and India Cinepolis. The same was also shared by the lead actress of the film, Kajol.
The makers wanted to pay an ode to ‘King Khan’ on his birthday and what better to treat his fans with one of the longest-running films in Indian cinemas, PTI reported from Mumbai.
‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ has been screening in the famous Maratha Mandir in Mumbai since 1995 and to date, people flock to see the film.
It also stars Kajol, Karan Johar, the late Amrish Puri, Pooja Ruparel, Anupam Kher, and the late Farida Jalal. It was a film way ahead of its times in that era.
Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film ‘Pathaan’ is also associated with YRF.
While the iconic ‘DDLJ’ marked Aditya Chopra’s directorial debut, ‘Pathaan’ will also be backed by his production house.
The film stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham and is all set to release in 2023.
