Advertising Standard Council of India (ASCI) has promoted Manisha Kapoor to chief executive officer (CEO).
Manisha announced the news on her LinkedIn account, where she wrote, “It is my absolute privilege to lead a rocking team that has relentlessly pushed itself to deliver better and adapted itself to the transformation we are in the midst of at ASCI. As we take the organization to the future, we want to make it bigger and better, more inclusive, more thought-provoking, more guidance driven, even as we want it bigger and better, more inclusive, more thought-provoking, more guidance driven, even as we stand tall to protect the interests of the Indian consumers.”
Kapoor has more than 25 years of experience in building brands and businesses. Having worked with companies like Hindustan Unilever and Johnson & Johnson India, she has also consulted with corporations on brand development and strategy for the past 15 years.
She also worked as a senior consultant at MarketGate Consulting and then worked as a director and co-founder at Green Kettle Consulting.
At Unilever, she worked as an independent strategy consultant. She moved to Futurebrands and worked as a consultant.
