Finally, the wait is over! Actor Sidharth Malhotra-starrer kargil war-inspired ‘Shershaah’ is all set to release digitally on August 12.
On Thursday, the makers unveiled the teaser of the film, which is based on the life of Param Vir Chakra awardee Vikram Batra, one of the heroes of the Kargil war.
The film is jointly presented by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Amazon Prime Video India, and released on Prime Video.
The one-minute teaser featured a couple of shots of Sidharth dressed in the army uniform as the Late Captain Vikram Batra, mixed with some real-life footage from the Kargil war, featuring Vikram Batra himself and media personality Barkha Dutt.
Sidharth shared the teaser on his Twitter handle, he wrote, “Heroes live on through their stories. We are honored to bring you the true story of the Kargil War hero, Captain Vikram Batra (PVC). A film with a long journey for me & a real-life character I am proud to play. #ShershaahOnPrime comes out on 12th August only on @PrimeVideoIN.”
Directed by Vishnu Vardhan ‘Shershaah’ also features actors Kiara Advani, Shiv Pandit, Raj Arjun, Pranay Pachauri, Himanshu Ashok Malhotra, Nikitin Dheer, Anil Charanjeett, Sahil Vaid, Shataf Figer, and Pawan Chopra.
