Actor Henry Cavill, known for essaying the man from Krypton in ‘Superman’ movies, is developing a 16-bit video game titled ‘Mustache Protocol’ using Google’s AI-powered tools on its Googlebook laptop, with the project also set to support men’s health initiatives through a partnership with Movember.
Google unveiled a new video series documenting Cavill’s journey from a basic game concept to a playable video game.
According to Google’s official blog on November 4, Cavill used built-in tools, including Antigravity, which converts natural-language prompts into game mechanics, and Rambler, a speech-to-text tool, to develop and refine the game.
Inspired by his internet-famous moustache, ‘Mustache Protocol’ revolves around stopping rogue CGI artists from erasing every moustache on the planet.
The upcoming episodes will showcase the development of the game’s hero character, meme-inspired superpowers and soundtrack.
Google said it would donate $11 for every play during November, up to a maximum of $500,000, through its partnership with Movember.
The funds will support awareness and initiatives related to men’s mental health, suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer.
The game will be made available to play once completed, Google said.
