Telugu comedy-drama series ‘Least Eligible Bachelor’ recorded 8.10 million unique viewers on Netflix during the seven-day period from October 17 to 23, according to viewership data released by Chrome DM COTT today. The six-episode series premiered on October 9, so the figures reflect viewership from its second week onwards.
Directed by Babu Degala and starring Harsha Chemudu, the series is available on Netflix in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam. It also streams on ETV Win, but the reported figures cover Netflix viewership only.
Female viewers accounted for 4.51 million, or 56 percent, of the total audience, while male viewers accounted for 3.59 million, or 44 percent. Women aged 18 to 24 formed the largest audience group, with 1.89 million viewers, followed by women aged 25 to 35 with 1.50 million and men aged 18 to 24 with 1.34 million.
Viewers aged 18 to 35 across both genders accounted for 6 million, or 74 percent, of the total reach. Audiences aged above 35 contributed 1.61 million viewers, or 20 percent, while viewers below 18 accounted for 0.49 million, or 6 percent.
Andhra Pradesh recorded 1.78 million viewers, while Telangana accounted for 1.48 million. Together, the two states contributed approximately 3.25 million viewers, representing 40 percent of the series’ total reach, according to Chrome DM COTT. Maharashtra recorded 1.04 million viewers, followed by Karnataka with 0.97 million and Delhi NCR with 0.60 million. The rest of India accounted for 2.24 million viewers, or 28 percent of the total.
Mobile accounted for 4.22 million viewers, or 52 percent of the total reach, while connected TVs (CTVs) contributed 2.25 million viewers, or 28 percent. The data also recorded an overlap of 1.63 million viewers who watched the series across both device types.
Pankaj Krishna, Founder and CEO of Chrome DM, said the viewership figures show how regional content can attract audiences beyond its home market. He pointed to the viewership in Maharashtra and Karnataka as an indication that the series’ availability in five languages has helped expand its reach. He also highlighted the series’ female audience share of 56 percent and the 18-to-35 age group’s contribution of 74 percent to total reach.
