Netflix is set to release its upcoming family film ‘Dilwali Diwali’, starring Mihir Ahuja and Manoj Pahwa, on November 5. The film explores family relationships, generational differences and the meaning of home during Diwali.
According to a PTI report, the film also features Neelu Kohli and Aurra Bhatnagar. It is produced by Terribly Tiny Tales, written by Ritu Mago and directed by Ritesh Menon.
The story follows Ansh Sikka, played by Ahuja, who works abroad and buys a new high-rise apartment for his middle-class Punjabi parents. He hopes the new home will give them a better life.
When Ansh returns home for Diwali, he realises that a new house does not necessarily change what makes a place feel like home. The family’s different ideas about happiness and success highlight the differences between generations.
Pahwa plays Ansh’s father in the film. The story focuses on family bonds and how parents and children can have different ideas about a good life, even when they want the best for one another.
