Collective Studios’ ‘Historyverse’ is expanding its slate of history-based content, with projects lined up for Zee5, JioStar and theatrical release. The lineup includes stories drawn from Indian history and mythology, with the AI-powered theatrical film ‘Chiranjeevi Hanuman – The Eternal’ among its key projects.
Vijay Subramaniam, Founder and Group CEO of Collective Artists Network, said the initiative aims to bring India’s stories to a new generation through technology-led storytelling. He said the vision is to present Indian history at scale while ensuring that the narratives connect with younger audiences.
“The goal is simple: to tell India’s history with the technology of the future, at scale, at the right time and, most importantly, with pride,” Subramaniam said. Drawing a comparison with Amar Chitra Katha, he said the focus is on finding a contemporary approach to storytelling that engages Gen Z and younger audiences.
The Zee5 slate includes ‘Tirupati Balaji’, ‘Param Yoddha Mahabali Garud’, ‘Param Sundari Chandra Kanta’, ‘Vikram aur Betal-Nar Pishachani’, ‘Narmada Manasa Sundari’ and ‘Shivsati’.
The JioStar lineup includes ‘Mahabharat – Ek Dharmayudh Season 2’, while Krishna is being produced under Jio Studios. Other projects in the Historyverse slate include ‘Mahishasur Mardini’ and ‘Bhagat Singh’.
Among the major theatrical projects is ‘Chiranjeevi Hanuman – The Eternal’, an AI-powered film being developed under the Collective Studios’ Historyverse and Star Studio banner. The film is scheduled for release next year.
The first titles from the slate are expected to reach audiences next month, marking the beginning of a broader effort to bring stories from India’s history and mythology to screens. More projects are in the pipeline, with Historyverse planning to expand its lineup in the coming months.
