Singer Harshdeep Kaur will open the fourth edition of the TV9 Festival of India 2026 with her live concert, ‘Noor-E-Ishq: Songs of the Soul’, on October 16 in New Delhi. The performance will bring together Bollywood hits, soulful Sufi compositions and Punjabi favourites on the festival’s opening night.
The concert will begin at 7 pm at Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium, near India Gate. Fondly known as the ‘Sufi Ki Sultana’, Harshdeep Kaur is recognised for her distinctive voice and ability to connect with audiences across musical genres and generations.
Her popular Bollywood tracks include ‘Katiya Karun’ from ‘Rockstar’, ‘Heer’ from ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’, ‘Kabira’ from ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’, ‘Dilbaro’ from ‘Raazi’ and ‘Jugni Ji’ from ‘Cocktail’. Her repertoire also features songs such as ‘Zaalima’, ‘Nachde Ne Saare’, ‘Uff’ and ‘Jhak Maar Ke’.
Her rendition of ‘Dilbaro’ earned her the IIFA Award for Best Female Playback Singer in 2019. Over the years, she has collaborated with leading music composers, including A.R. Rahman, Amit Trivedi, Vishal-Shekhar and Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy.
Beyond Indian cinema, Kaur has contributed to the Hollywood film ‘127 Hours’, appeared on ‘Coke Studio India’ and served as a coach on ‘The Voice India’, where her team won the competition in 2019. Her upcoming festival performance is expected to showcase the breadth of her musical repertoire, combining contemporary hits with Sufi and Punjabi music.
Following the opening concert, the festival’s musical programme will continue on October 17 with a live performance by rapper Raftaar. Three consecutive nights of Dandiya celebrations will follow from October 18 to 20, featuring a mix of live performers and DJs.
The wider festival will run from October 16 to 20, from 11 am to 10 pm daily. Alongside the musical performances, visitors can explore a Durga Puja pandal, a lifestyle and shopping bazaar, a food festival, cultural showcases and activities for younger visitors.
The event aims to bring together music, food, shopping and cultural celebrations, offering families and friends a festive destination in the heart of the capital.
