Content India has announced the third edition of its global media and entertainment marketplace, scheduled to take place from March 10 to 12, 2027, in Mumbai. The three-day event is expected to bring together more than 1,000 industry leaders, including broadcasters, OTT platforms, studios, creators, technology companies, investors and policymakers.
Positioned as a platform for global content partnerships and business development, Content India 2027 will focus on opportunities across the rapidly evolving entertainment industry. The event aims to connect Indian and international players to explore co-productions, content distribution, intellectual property collaboration and emerging technologies.
The announcement comes as India’s media and entertainment sector continues to expand, supported by the growth of digital platforms, the creator economy and advances in technology. The event will build on the first two editions, which highlighted opportunities for collaboration between India and international markets.
David Jenkinson, Editor-in-Chief and Managing Director of C21Media, said the earlier editions demonstrated the potential for business between India and the global entertainment industry.
“Content India 2025 and 2026 demonstrated that there is significant business to be done between India and the international community, with co-productions on the rise and the entertainment sector being bolstered by the fast-growing creator economy and India’s tech sector,” Jenkinson said.
He added that the Indian market was expected to grow significantly in the coming years, creating opportunities for new content initiatives and international partnerships.
Content India 2027 will focus on 12 strategic areas aimed at driving industry growth. These include international co-productions, global content partnerships, artificial intelligence and post-production innovation, cross-border intellectual property collaboration, and connections between creators, broadcasters, studios, brands, investors and distributors.
The marketplace will also offer curated networking opportunities, funding discussions, trend forecasting and dedicated pitch sessions for projects with international potential. The programme is designed to help participants develop partnerships, secure investment and explore new business opportunities.
The three-day event will feature keynote addresses, panel discussions, one-to-one business meetings, international content showcases, premium screenings, pitch forums and structured marketplace sessions.
Manoj Dobhal, CEO and Executive Director of Dish TV India Limited, said Content India was established to position India as a global centre for creativity, collaboration and commercial opportunities.
“The industry’s response has validated that vision. Now, with Content India 2027, we are doubling down on our commitment to bring together the brightest minds in entertainment — creators, technologists, broadcasters, streamers, and global partners — to unlock the full potential of what’s possible when visionary people collaborate at scale,” Dobhal said.
He added that the future of entertainment would be shaped by cross-border partnerships, technological innovation and the ability to create content that connects with global audiences while remaining rooted in authentic storytelling.
The event is expected to provide creators and producers with access to international distribution opportunities, investment and potential collaborators. Broadcasters and streaming platforms will have a platform to explore new content and business partnerships, while technology companies, investors and service providers can connect with businesses looking to adopt new solutions.
Policymakers and industry stakeholders will also have an opportunity to discuss challenges and opportunities affecting the sector.
Delegate registrations for Content India 2027 are now open. The organisers are also offering exhibition packages, sponsorship opportunities, premium screening slots and customised partnership programmes for organisations looking to engage with India’s media and entertainment industry.
The event will take place from March 10 to 12, 2027, at Taj Lands End, Mumbai.
Interested participants can register through the official Content India 2027 website.
