Prime Video has released the first teaser trailer for ‘Apocalypse Z: New World’, the sequel to the 2024 film ‘Apocalypse Z: The Beginning of the End’. The new film will premiere worldwide on October 30, just in time for Halloween.
According to an official Amazon announcement yesterday, the sequel continues the story in a world facing a dangerous virus outbreak. The Canary Islands have become Europe’s last safe place after the spread of the TSJ virus.
The story follows a special mission to mainland Europe to find essential supplies. Roberto joins the mission, but his intentions raise questions. As the team faces large groups of infected people and struggles with divided loyalties, the mission turns into a fight for survival.
The film explores the difficult choices people must make to stay alive and whether they are willing to risk their lives to save others.
The cast includes Carlos Alcaide, Julia Martínez, José María Yazpik, Mónica López, Tamara Casellas, Santiago Vaca and Berta Vázquez. Carles Torrens, who directed the first film, has also directed the sequel.
The original film, ‘Apocalypse Z: The Beginning of the End’, was released in 2024 and became one of Prime Video’s most-watched international titles. The sequel is based on the book series by Spanish author Manel Loureiro.’Apocalypse Z: New World’ will be available exclusively on Prime Video worldwide from October 30.
