Korean sci-fi thriller ‘Hope’ to release in India on Oct 23

Korean sci-fi thriller ‘Hope’ is set to release in India on October 23. The film premiered in the main competition section at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year.

According to a PTI report from Mumbai today,the film was earlier scheduled to release in September, but its release was postponed to complete the certification process in India.The English version of ‘Hope’ has now been approved by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) without any cuts.

The certification process for its Hindi, Tamil and Telugu dubbed versions is currently underway.’Hope’ is directed by acclaimed filmmaker Na Hong-jin, known for films such as ‘The Chaser’, ‘The Yellow Sea’ and ‘The Wailing’.

Set in a remote port town, the film is described as an ambitious sci-fi thriller. It will be released in India in English, with dubbed versions in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu also being processed for certification.
