Actors Aamir Khan, Anil Kapoor and Hrithik Roshan have joined the Council of Management of the Producers Guild of India (PGI), while Shibasish Sarkar has been unanimously re-elected as its president for a fifth consecutive year.

The new Council of Management was constituted at the Guild’s 72nd Annual General Meeting held on Tuesday. Following the AGM, Sarkar was re-elected president at the first meeting of the newly constituted council, continuing his leadership of the industry body for another year.

The council’s new composition brings together leading names from across the Indian film industry, with Aamir Khan, Anil Kapoor and Hrithik Roshan joining the management body. Their inclusion comes as the Guild continues to represent and address issues concerning the Indian production and entertainment industry.

“I am deeply honoured to be elected as President for the fifth year. I, along with my Council of Management colleagues, look forward to working closely with all PGI members in navigating both the opportunities and challenges that our industry is faced with,” Sarkar said in a statement.

The Producers Guild of India represents producers and production companies across the Indian entertainment industry and works on issues related to the business, regulatory and creative environment in which the sector operates.
