Prime Video has announced October 1, 2026, as the worldwide premiere date for the second season of its Hindi original series ‘Dupahiya’. The new season will return to the fictional village of Dhadakpur with new challenges, comedy and chaos.

According to a Prime Video press release from Mumbai today , ‘Dupahiya’ Season 2 is directed by Sonam Nair. The series is created and produced by Salona Bains Joshi and Shubh Shivdasani under the banner of Bombay Film Cartel LLP. It is created and written by Avinash Dwivedi and Chirag Garg.

The new season will feature Gajraj Rao, Renuka Shahane, Sparsh Shrivastava, Bhuvan Arora, Shivani Raghuvanshi and Yashpal Sharma. Dinesh Lal Yadav, popularly known as Nirahua, will also join the cast.

Set in the fictional village of Dhadakpur, which is no longer crime-free, the comedy-drama will continue the story with new challenges and unexpected situations. The series will continue to focus on the simple charm and small-town setting of the village.

Prime Video said the first season received a lot of love from audiences and performed well on the streaming service. Nikhil Madhok, Director and Head of Originals (SVOD), Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios India, said the series connected with viewers through its characters and storytelling.

Creators and Executive Producers Salona Bains Joshi and Shubh Shivdasani said the second season will bring newer challenges and bigger stakes for the characters. They also said the season will include both humour and emotional moments.

‘Dupahiya’ Season 2 will premiere exclusively on Prime Video across India and in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide on October 1, 2026.
