The film ‘Hanuman Ansh’, based on the life of spiritual leader Neem Karoli Baba, has been declared tax-free in Uttarakhand.

According to an ANI report, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced the decision after watching the film in Dehradun.

The decision means the state government will provide relief on the State GST charged on the film in the state.

‘Hanuman Ansh’ tells the story of Neem Karoli Baba and his spiritual journey and explores his faith, teachings and connection with spirituality.

The film has been directed and written by Vishal Chaturvedi, with Shobhinaw Satya playing the lead role. The cast also includes Vihaan Shedge, Chandan K Anand, Purnima Tiwari, Anil Rastogi, Gulshan Pandey and Bhagvandas Patel.

Chief Minister Dhami said the film highlights the spiritual and cultural heritage of Uttarakhand.

The film has already grossed over Rs. 250 crore.
