Saif Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Haiwaan’ has earned Rs 4.60 crore at the global box office on the day of its release.

According to a PTI report from New Delhi today,the film is directed by Priyadarshan, who is known for popular comedy films such as ‘Hera Pheri’, ‘Hulchul’, ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ and ‘Hungama’. His films have made him a well known name in the comedy genre.

‘Haiwaan’ also marks the return of Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan together on screen after 17 years. The two actors have worked together in several films in the past, including ‘Main Khiladi Tu Anari’, ‘Tashan’, ‘Aarzoo’, ‘Tu Chor Main Sipahi’ and ‘Keemat’.

Kumar and Khan were last seen together in the 2008 action film ‘Tashan’. The film also featured Kareena Kapoor Khan and Anil Kapoor. Their reunion in ‘Haiwaan’ comes after a long gap.

The two actors have shared the screen in films across different stages of their careers. Their previous collaborations include both action and commercial films, making their return together a notable part of ‘Haiwaan’.
