Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag is making his streaming debut as the host of ‘Rise and Fall’ Season 2, as Prime Video unveiled the first glimpse of the reality series. Produced by Banijay Asia, the new season returns with a fresh set of contestants and a high-stakes game of power, strategy and shifting alliances.

According to a press release issued by Prime Video, ‘Rise and Fall’ Season 2 will see Sehwag bring his trademark wit, fearless personality and straight-talking style to the reality format. The show, which kept audiences engaged with its power-driven gameplay in its first season, will once again place contestants in a world where fortunes can change with every decision.

The promo introduces Sehwag in his new role as host, with the former cricketer putting his own playful spin on life’s ups and downs before entering the unpredictable world of ‘Rise and Fall’. Known for turning opportunities into match-winning moments on the cricket field, Sehwag will now be at the centre of a game where contestants must constantly assess their position and decide their next move.

Set across two contrasting spaces — a penthouse and a basement — the show brings together 15 celebrities who are divided into two groups: the Rulers and the Workers. While the Rulers enjoy the privileges of the penthouse, the Workers face the realities of the basement. The balance of power, however, can change at any point as contestants compete through decisions, alliances and strategic moves.

With money and influence at the heart of the game, contestants will have to rely on strategy, instinct and their ability to understand their fellow players. Rivalries, alliances and unexpected challenges will further test their ability to remain in a position of power, making the game as much about timing as it is about strategy.
