Netflix has announced that its upcoming documentary series ‘Beyond Society’ will premiere globally on the platform on December 18, 2026. The series is created by J.A. Bayona and Carlos Torres.
According to a Netflix announcement yesterday, the three-episode documentary explores the lives of the survivors of Flight 571 after their rescue from the Andes.
The series is directed by Carlos Torres and produced by J.A. Bayona, Sandra Hermida and Belen Atienza. It continues the story shown in the film ‘Society of the Snow’, focusing on the survivors’ lives after they returned home and reunited with their families.
‘Beyond Society’ will feature testimonies from the accident survivors and families of those who died in the accident. It will also feature authors Piers Paul Read and Pablo Vierci, along with filmmakers including Frank Marshall and J.A. Bayona, who have explored the Andes tragedy through their work.
