Yash starrer ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’ has crossed the Rs 250 crore mark at the domestic box office. According to a PTI report from New Delhi today, the film, which features Yash in the lead role, has recorded a gross collection of Rs 256.20 crore in India, according to trade tracking website Sacnilk.

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, ‘Toxic’ was reportedly made on a budget of more than Rs 500 crore. The film was released in five languages Kannada, English, Hindi, Telugu and Tamil giving it a wide theatrical release.

The film’s net collection at the domestic box office stands at Rs 214.31 crore. The difference between the gross and net figures is due to taxes and other deductions from the box office earnings.

Yash plays dual roles in ‘Toxic’, portraying the characters Raya and Ticket. The film also presents the actor in a new avatar, with his performance forming an important part of the movie.

According to the makers, Yash’s screen presence, action sequences and larger-than-life portrayal are among the key highlights of the film. ‘Toxic’ continues its theatrical run following its release across multiple languages.
