Actor Manoj Bajpayee’s upcoming film ‘Last Man in Tower’ is set to release in Indian theatres on September 11. The film is an adaptation of acclaimed author Aravind Adiga’s bestselling novel of the same name.
According to a PTI report, it is being presented by Spirit Media, the media company founded by actor southern superstar Rana Daggubati.
Directed by Ben Rekhi, the film features Bajpayee in the lead role, with Boman Irani and Divya Dutta also part of the cast. The story is based on Adiga’s novel and explores the lives of residents caught in a conflict over their homes and personal choices.
The screenplay has been adapted by Sooni Taraporevala, who is known for her collaborations with filmmaker Mira Nair.
Her earlier work includes films such as ‘Salaam Bombay!’, ‘Mississippi Masala’ and ‘The Namesake’.
With a strong cast and a story based on Adiga’s work, ‘Last Man in Tower’ is expected to bring a drama-driven narrative to the big screen. The film will arrive in cinemas across India on September 11.
